Data across my Twitter feed tonight shows the growing presence and importance of Twitter followings with the American papers. The numbers aren't gigantic, but they're indications of emerging loyalties. The major outlets have most of the large followings, but it's great to see large jumps in places like Charleston.
We have a Twitter feed at The Vancouver Sun and I'm surprised every paper hasn't established one. Our reporters are increasingly Twittering and gaining their followings.
My own feed has settled in nicely and I enjoy the 140-character expression. My close friends must be surprised I can contain myself like that.
