Sports Illustrated convened an online panel on sports journalists to discuss race, the industry and diversity. Among other things, the panel indicated that journalists routinely have to deal with comments about their race. They indicated there has been progress in diversifying their newsrooms and organizations but that there remain several impediments to full integration.
