Chris Amico has in beta a superb list of tool kits for the modern journalist. You would be hard-pressed to find a better collection of software, tutorials and sites to help you work creatively and economically in the digital age.
I was thinking of building the same sort of thing, but unless I want to make more work for myself needlessly, I'll just link. What is the saying --- do what you do best, link to the rest?
