The Boston Consulting report suggests about 48 per cent of Americans and Brits would pay for content and 60 per cent of Europeans would.
But the amounts they would pay are fairly paltry: three dollars a month in the case of Americans, the same as would Australians. In Italy, by comparison, people would pay the equivalent of about seven dollars.
The report authors suggest American organizations have more of a problem mustering support for micropayments because of rampant competition.
