Just the other day we featured Chris O'Brien's 10 newsroom tips on affordable change. Now Will Sullivan of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch has found even more affordable (i.e., free) ways to modernize the news operation. Most of these we've done, too: A new layout of the newsroom (including a hub of senior editors to work seamlessly all day), lots of promotion in the newsroom of the site, traffic data, lots of new monitors to display the site, and some print-outs (or, in my case, a blog) to share new information. Will's list is very advisable.
