Envy reigns in the newsrooms today when you look at the New York Times' generous release of its campaign finance API. A movie review API is coming soon, with more to come.
It's not something everyone can do, and it's not necessarily the most business-like decision an organization can make, but it's a realization that others can do more with data creatively than you might and that it's worth it to serve as the information conduit.
i'm going to play around with the data in the days ahead and see what might be mashed up.
