Lasica takes a more patient, tolerant approach to the newsroom adapting to change. He's been there, done that, so he understands the challenges.
But he outlines in his presentation (which was an extension of one attached below he gave in Seattle earlier last month) basic ways to move. They include:
1. Leverage Twitter.
2. Create community video and geomapping.
3. Get widgets galore.
4. Connect with Facebook.
5. Enable conversations.
While some of these may seem simple, their implementation isn't. Lasica's approach is that tools do not amount to a strategy.
