Lee Abrams made his name revamping radio formats for nearly three decades. He joined the Tribune Co. earlier this year as chief innovation officer and has sent along an e-mail (in turn sent along to Romanesko's extensive site) on 15 ways for newspapers to grow.
You know, after two months, he's not on the wrong track.
Among the concepts he articulates in larger form: package, brag, liberate, direct, map, drive. It's an enthusiastic note, and it would be interesting to see how it seeps into the newsroom.
