Neil Budde, a veteran newsman recently shifted into the editor's helm at DailyMe, has posted on the relative unreadiness of newsmedia to find their new audience.
He sees news organizations spending their time aiming for Net-savvy types, instead of looking for people who get their news from both online and offline sources. Those "integrators" represent the best opportunity, he suggests.
His argument is that the audience needed to underwrite any emerging business model will require a more traditional cohort, not just the one immersed in new technology.
