Online pioneer Dave Winer suggests that Twitter is becoming the new newspaper of record. By that he means that he doesn't consider work published until it is pushed through Twitter.
Winer outlines his blogging process in his latest post and identifies the Twit-It phase of moving material through Twitter (post-RSS) as the increasingly important step that "publishes" in full.
Somewhat sarcastically, he suggests newspapers will realize this in a few years and demand Google-like royalties.
