Online veteran Dan Gillmor says it's important to take a deep breath in the turmoil and appreciate there is no magic elixir to save what ails journalism. Rather, there are many good ideas emerging, and collectively they'll bring journalism to the next stage of success.
"We’re heading into an incredibly messy but also wonderful period of innovation and experimentation that combines technology and people and pushes great and outlandish ideas into the real world," he writes.
It's best to simply treat each idea as one more step to a better future.
