The record total for Q4 was a 2.6-per-cent increase year-over-year and a 14-per cent increase over the previous quarter. Overall revenue for the year reached $22.7 billion, a decline of 3.4 per cent but an indication of the rebound under way.
The bureau indicated digital video is a strong growth area, with an increase of nearly 40 per cent.
The IAB suggests that the digital share of advertising grew to 17 per cent from eight per cent in the years between 2005 and 2009.
